David Muench was born June 25, 1936. He does his work with a 4 x 5 large format camera. But lately he has been experimenting with a digital camera. One thing interesting is David Muench has been photographing landscapes for 50 years. One of his best know works of art are Sandstone Window, Taken in Monument Valley, Arizona. Another is Sandstone Buttes Taken in Lukachukai Country, Arizona. I picked David Muench because of the way he can capture the landscape, and practically tell a story by taking a picture. My favorite piece of David Muench's art is Sandstone Window. This is my favorite piece of his work because of the way it gets a clear photo up close and in the horizon. I also like it because of the way it shows you the blue sky, the one layer of clouds in the middle of nowhere, and the dry wasteland. This picture says on its own why i like David Muench.
